Better Your Game With Certified CPGA Instructor Don Harrison

Don has been a CPGA golf professional since 1963 and teaching golf to junior and adult golfers of varying skill levels at Woodland Hills Golf Club since 1998. He assists over 400 young golfers during each spring and summer with the Junior Golf Academy. Students return year after year and Don recognizes "when you have a repeat of students come through the program and see the improvements, you realize that the program is a success."

Harrison was the lead professional at Essex Golf and Country Club for eighteen years, has worked at Winnipeg's St. Charles Club as well as spending several seasons at a club in Arizona.

Harrison understands the hard work that goes into the sport and the benefits gained from it- at any age.

Several students have gone on to collect scholarships under Harrison's direction. "Children are never too young to take up golf", he says.

Harrison emphasizes the importance of having a good rapport with his student. "Respect the kids and they will respect you. Kids want to learn and they want to be good so they work hard to achieve that goal."
